  • 1/4th cup cornstarch
  • Pastry for double crust pie (approximately 9 inches)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 cups thinly sliced, finely peeled tart apples
  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • Take a large bowl and mix the three ingredients – the natural sweetener, 1/4th cup of cornstarch and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon. Once done, fold in the apples.
  • Line the pie plate with the bottom crust and add the apples to it. 
  • Dot it with butter and roll out the remaining pastry to fit the top of the pie. 
  • Once done, cut thin slits or maybe an apple shape or any other shape that you like on the top.
  • Place this over the filling evenly so that it covers the apples on all sides. Once you are sure that you have placed it properly, seal and flute the edges.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. Once this baking session is over, turn the heat up to 400 degrees and bake for around 15 to 20 minutes until the apples turn tender. You will know when to turn off the oven when you get that amazing smell coming from your pie.
